Bootstrap an Enrichment Model

Building an Enrichment without initial labels. 

A Bootstrapped Enrichment is a type of custom Enrichment, which can either be added from within the Entity Dashboard or from the Enrichments tab.

Steps to build this enrichment follow a similar workflow to that of a custom enrichment

1. Create Enrichment
2. Initial Training from the Enrichment dashboard
3. Generate Predictions
4. Review and Correct Predictions - to refine the model further
5. Apply new Enrichment to other Entities

From the Entity Dashboard

Clicking on the + button will present options to use an existing Enrichment (Graft) or create a (New) custom enrichment

• Select CUSTOM (to create a new user enrichment)
• Click OK to continue

From the Enrichment tab

Clicking on the CREATE ENRICHMENT button will present options to use an existing Enrichment (Graft) or create a (New) custom enrichment

• Select CUSTOM (to create a new user enrichment)
• Click OK to continue

• Select the I don't have labels radio button

• Select the field to be labeled from the Field Drop-down (page_text in this example)

Now add in the sample label categories which represent your data, in this example we will add sport, space or animals

• Type in the first sample category and CLICK ADD
• REPEAT until all your sample categories are added

• Click NEXT

• Add a name for your new Enrichment and optionally provide a Description
• Click FINISH You will be returned to the Enrichment Tab

Initial Processing your new Enrichment​

Now that the new Enrichment configuration has been completed we need to process the current data with the sample category labels

• Click on the new Enrichment you wish to process

The Enrichment Dashboard will open and Graft will immediately begin processing. This will generate the initial model

 

Next Step

Once processing complete the green PREDICT tile will appear in the Enrichment Dashboard. Click GENERATE PREDICTIONS to create the initial predictions from the model.  Your new Enrichment Model is now ready for use OR you may choose to review those created labels and correct as needed and further train your new Enrichment through Active Learning to enhance its performance.

Using your Bootstrapped Enrichment​

You can use your new Bootstrapped Enrichment just like any other Existing Enrichment.
